Bio

Daisy is a photographer based in the South West of England. She enjoys sharing local conservation stories. Her current project explores the relationship between the environment and ghost gear, investigating how something man-made has become embedded in the natural world. Her attention to detail and beautiful imagery provokes thought around discarded fishing equipment along the Cornish coastline. It dives into the overlooked side of the plastic crisis by noticing subtle connections to nature.

An avid scuba diver, Daisy uses underwater photography to create a fresh perspective on the plastic crisis and often uses creative techniques to grab people’s attention. She hopes that her work may inspire a more sustainable plastic culture.

Dedicating most of her work to raising awareness to the plastic crisis, Daisy has explored new ways of communicating this issue. From crazy kaleidoscopic patterns to breathtaking underwater images, her work highlights the unseen and utilises colour to create impact.

Daisy’s work has recently been displayed in exhibitions, including ‘Wild Resistance’. A collaborative installation which demonstrated a response to current issues in the natural world.

A lover of the water, Daisy is an ocean advocate who spends most of her time in, or around the sea. She uses snorkelling to sharing images of her local habitat with an aim to create more of an appreciation for British wildlife. This is what inspired her work around ghost gear as she saw first-hand, the negative impacts that this has.
